Elegance across the board
Elegant suits, elegant studio, elegant flooring – the interior of the tailor's shop The Bloke in Cologne reflects the characteristics of timeless garments: classic men's suits, interpreted in a modern way. Star architect Hadi Teherani also reinterprets the classic-timeless herringbone pattern in exactly the same way: by combining two plank formats of Parador engineered wood flooring OAK natural from the Open Frameworks Design Edition, the flooring comes alive in a special way and acquires its own, modern note.
Flooring made to measure, suits made to measure
Oak, brass and steel harmonise as honest, natural materials in the interior design of the studio in the heart of the Belgian quarter of Cologne. The Open Frameworks Design Edition by Hadi Teherani fits perfectly into the stylish ambience.
In the interior, designed by Hadi Teherani's Interior Design Department, dark, anthracite-coloured surfaces and stainless steel stand for timeless style. Wooden surfaces such as the engineered wood flooring from the Open Frameworks Design Edition impressively underline the warm yet elegant atmosphere. The oak engineered wood planks of the Open Frameworks Design Edition by Hadi Teherani offer an unlimited variety of design options for the total of four different plank formats thanks to an innovative click system with a loose tongue, as they can be combined with each other in any way desired.
In the Volksbank lobby and meeting rooms, as well as in the 4-star Courtyard by Marriott business hotel, the engineered wood flooring in two different shades of oak creates an authentic, cosy atmosphere. At the same time, the interplay of the different plank formats perfectly emphasises the modernity of the new headquarters.
The Volksbank-Areal was opened for its intended use in the summer of 2021 after a construction period of around three and a half years.
